Having a great time with Queenie and Papa Den
We all really enjoyed our long weekend with Queenie and Papa Den. Everyone got to ski (thanks for babysitting Aunt Kelly) and enjoyed "ooo-ing" and "ah-ing" over Sweet Baizley. Queenie spent an afternoon organizing Baizley's wardrobe, which needed it! Papa Den couldn't get enough of the new fallen snow.
Chillin' in her crib. Eventually Baizley did take a nap.
Oh how I LOVE my swing!!

Tummy time, not too much head lifting going on just yet.
First time to Mommy's favorite restaurant, Ti Amo.
This is Baizley's Elvis face, by the way.

Check out the boots. Thanks Grandma!

A week of firsts
It was a week of firsts for Miss Baizley. We're still having a great time. Baizley can't stop talking. She has conversations with her Mommy and Daddy. It's so darn cute. We also cannot get enough of those adorable smiles. Daddy can get Baizley to smile so easily--it's fabulous.
Baizley napped in her crib for the first time on Friday and earlier this week, Baizley slept a night in her crib for the first time. (unfortunately not for more than 4 hours)

Baizley went on her first road trip. We spent the day up in Steamboat Springs to visit with Brande and Sydney.

Brande entertaining Miss Baizley (convincing her to become a figure skater).
On our drive up to Steamboat Baizley saw her first golden eagles.
On our drive back home Baizley saw her first elk and deer (and the golden eagles again). It was quite a wildlife adventure.
On Tuesday Baizley hosted her first dinner party. Baizley's friend Addison and her parents Amy and Michael came over for a fish fry. Jared cooked a delicious meal and Baizley slept the whole time--Martha Stewart would not have been proud of Baizley's hosting skills.
The daddies hanging out with their babies feeding the girls dinner.
Baizley and Addison.
Addy was so adorable moving all around on the play mat.
Baizley just woke up--not the party animal.
I just love playing on the floor with my daddy. So happy!

Baizley's two months old! (and healthy)
So, after eight weeks, it kind of sounds silly to keep counting weeks, so this Wednesday Baizley was officially two months old and we'll leave it at that until three months.
We had our two month wellness visit with the pediatrician on Monday. Baizley is doing great! No signs of the RSV, she is over that hurdle much faster than anyone expected. Usually that vicious cough lasts 5 or 6 weeks, hers is gone! Baizley, our little chunk, is 10 pounds, 10 ounces and 23 inches tall--the picture of health. She did have to get her first vaccinations, it was pretty terrible (for mom and dad!)

Chillin' in her froggie outfit with her froggie friend.
Can you say s t r e t c h e d out???
Baizley a PERSONALIZED duck call. Quack, Quack!

Baizley is so excited with Aunt Kelly's news that Baizley is going to have a
new cousin to play with in August!!!
We are all looking forward to a visit from Queenie and Papa Den next week. We can't wait and neither can they.
New house update: Last Thursday we signed the contract for our new house in Vail. We've picked out appliances and countertops. All very exciting!! Please spread the word that we have two wonderful properties to offer at bargain basement prices (for Vail at least).

EIGHT WEEKS!!!

Here we are at the doctor on Sunday with some oxygen. Baizley refused to go back to those darn nasal canulas again, so thankfully they let us "mist" her with oxygen. Another plus of Sunday's trip to the doctor, she didn't have to go home on oxygen. Everything sounded good. Often with RSV, babies, especially as young as Baizley was--7 weeks, are placed in the hospital for treatment or at the very least sent home on oxygen for a week or so. Our kid is tough--quite the trooper. She was strong enough to just let the virus run its course. All we needed was one more trip to the doctor on Monday.
"Mommy NOOOO, please don't use that sucker thing on me, I hate it!"
Here is Baizley giving RSV the old "one-two" punch. It's not going to get her down.
Throughout our first bout with being sick, Baizley has been an amazing kid. She continues to smile and coo between the hacking coughs. She is getting better day by day, less congestion, however the nasty cough continues to linger. Baizley is just so sweet...we love her to pieces!!!
