Baizley's two months old! (and healthy)

So, after eight weeks, it kind of sounds silly to keep counting weeks, so this Wednesday Baizley was officially two months old and we'll leave it at that until three months.

We had our two month wellness visit with the pediatrician on Monday. Baizley is doing great! No signs of the RSV, she is over that hurdle much faster than anyone expected. Usually that vicious cough lasts 5 or 6 weeks, hers is gone! Baizley, our little chunk, is 10 pounds, 10 ounces and 23 inches tall--the picture of health. She did have to get her first vaccinations, it was pretty terrible (for mom and dad!)

Chillin' in her froggie outfit with her froggie friend.
Can you say s t r e t c h e d out???

So this is Baizley's first piece of hunting equipment. Dzia Dzia sent
Baizley a PERSONALIZED duck call. Quack, Quack!

Not sure how Baizley feels about the sunglasses that
Queenie sent, but I love them!

The other day we went out to a belated birthday lunch with Aunt Kelly.
Baizley is so excited with Aunt Kelly's news that Baizley is going to have a
new cousin to play with in August!!!

We are all looking forward to a visit from Queenie and Papa Den next week. We can't wait and neither can they.

New house update: Last Thursday we signed the contract for our new house in Vail. We've picked out appliances and countertops. All very exciting!! Please spread the word that we have two wonderful properties to offer at bargain basement prices (for Vail at least).

EIGHT WEEKS!!!

Even though it doesn't show in these peaceful, happy pictures, we had a rough week. All week Baizley was fighting some congestion. By Friday night it had moved to her chest and she had a wicked cough. Sounded like she was a 2-pack-a-day smoker. On Saturday Baizley was diagnosed with RSV, our biggest fear! Luckily doctors thought we had one tough daughter and were okay with us taking her home and continuing our home remedies...saline, sucking snot and steam sessions. (And we had to go back to get checked out for the next two days.)

Here we are at the doctor on Sunday with some oxygen. Baizley refused to go back to those darn nasal canulas again, so thankfully they let us "mist" her with oxygen. Another plus of Sunday's trip to the doctor, she didn't have to go home on oxygen. Everything sounded good. Often with RSV, babies, especially as young as Baizley was--7 weeks, are placed in the hospital for treatment or at the very least sent home on oxygen for a week or so. Our kid is tough--quite the trooper. She was strong enough to just let the virus run its course. All we needed was one more trip to the doctor on Monday.

"Mommy NOOOO, please don't use that sucker thing on me, I hate it!"

Here is Baizley giving RSV the old "one-two" punch. It's not going to get her down.

Throughout our first bout with being sick, Baizley has been an amazing kid. She continues to smile and coo between the hacking coughs. She is getting better day by day, less congestion, however the nasty cough continues to linger. Baizley is just so sweet...we love her to pieces!!!

Baizley is seven weeks old!

Oh so HAPPY!

The Biniecki's have had a pretty uneventful week. Dzia Dzia (pronounced Ja-Ja) left last Friday (we miss you) and we are awaiting the return of Queenie and Papa Den in a few weeks. Baizley is certainly smiling more and entertaining us more and more each day with her adorable noises. Somehow she continues to get cuter and cuter.
Ah, children today are so tech savvy. This is Baizley "skyping" with Queenie, Papa Den and the PA aunts and uncles. It's amazing how alert and engaged she was. She's got mad computer skills.

Check out the fist. (thumb is between her index and middle fingers)
Baizley's got your nose!

Here's is Sullivan Middaugh holding Baizley for the first time.
As she tooted while being held, Sully exclaimed "Oh, I felt her poop!"

Here is Baizley all frogged out. We had a pretty mellow day lounging around. Rib-it.

Jared stopped by the new house today. Here is our new living room, outside of the house and the biggest reason for moving, the garage! Please find someone to buy our current house!

Towards the bottom of the page there are links for renderings and floor plans. Ours would be the unit labeled "east elevation" on the rendering, and the floor plan at the bottom of each floor plan page.

Baizley is six weeks old!

Wow! Baizley is six weeks old. Jared's dad, Baizley's Dzia Dzia, arrived in town on Monday; he is loving every minute he spends with the little Miss.
Baizley is so much more alert and is focusing and reaching for toys. She loves to look at herself in the mirror. We've had a busy week, here are a bunch of pics from our newborn adventures.

This is Baizley's first gondola ride.

How cute am I? Love touring around town in my comfy car seat.

First dinner in her "high" chair at the dining room table.
Aunt Kelly made some mean poppy seed chicken.

Our first family photo shoot.
Photographer for the Denver Post came over to take a few shots
for an article about our Vail house.

What is Baizley doing?
Cheering because it's finally snowing!
or maybe she's prepping for the Super Bowl...
Touchdown!

Ain't life grand?

Baizley is five weeks old!

So our sweet Baizley is now five weeks old. She is gaining chins by the day, weighing in at almost 9 pounds. We went to our first Mommy and Me class this week with our first friend, Addison, who is three days older than Baizley. (Addison's mommy and daddy are friends of mine who are also teachers.) It was nice to see other babies who cry more, moms who sleep less, and find out that I'm not exactly certifiably nuts.

We found out this week that we are going to be moving into a new house in Vail this June. (Know anyone who wants to buy an apartment in Avon or a condo in Eagle Vail?) It was a lottery and we actually were first runner up, but found out this morning that one of the winners bowed out, so we're in! Baizley was decked out in her Vail garb, baby hat and onsie that Kelly made.
We also went on our first walk with our super-fly stroller. Baizley slept the whole time.

Baizley is doing some smiling, but I'll be darned if I can catch a good one on camera. I'll keep trying though!

Baizley is FOUR weeks old!

With the holidays over, our house is empty. All Queenies, Grandmas, Papa Dens, Grandpas, great aunts and uncles have gone home. (We do have a Dzia Dzia coming in two short weeks!) Not as many loving arms to snuggle the little miss. Please come back and visit soon! We miss you!

I don't know where the past four weeks have gone. All you mom's out there have been telling me, cherish every moment, they grow up so fast. Boy are you right!

Jared and I can see Sweet Baizley growing and changing every day. She is much more alert, focusing on us when we talk to her, read books or play. Those wild hands are now grabbing and I think she realizes she is in control of them. Daddy put Baizley's swing together and she seems to enjoy it. The little wrist rattles in the picture are from Santa.

Just yesterday we took our first bath without screaming. I can't say Baizley loved it, but she didn't freak out, which has been the par for the course when trying to take a bath. It was a quiet bath at least.

This picture is the onsie that was hand crafted by Aunt Kelly. Love it!

Hope all is well and returned to normal after the holidays.
